Bean's Cave Cache, Marion County, Arkansas

Saltpeter manufactory at Bean?s Cave in eastern Marion County, Arkansas December of 1862.
According to the story, the Confederates living near the saltpeter cave buried all their money together in a keg when they learned that the Federals were coming. The soldiers scattered the people and took some of them prisoner so that the location of the money was lost and to this day it has never been offically recovered.
