    How much?

What dollar amount does it take to qualify as treasure? How long does it have to be buried? Am brand new here and don't know anything.

    Re: How much?

Treasure is in the eyes of the finder. It could be a couple of dollars in clad coins found over the course of a day all the way up to finds such as Mel Fisher and other treasure hunters have found. For some it may be a silver ring. Another a few silver or gold coins. While for some it may be the motherlode, a cache of coins and/or jewelry. Some people are relic hunters and prefer to find old historical or antique items. Still others are searching for precious metals in mountains and streams. Whatever the case each person has their own idea of what treasure is and when you find it you'll know. I personally feel if you go home at the end of the day feeling satisfied with your finds then you have found treasure. Good luck and HH.
