Re: US ADVIL IRON INSIDE A CAVE IN PHIL???
Hi,
I would not be surprised, we (Philippines) where colonized by the U.S. from 1900-1946. During the Spanish-American war earlier last century, cavalry where involved, but by the quantity indicated, i suspect it must have been confiscated and kept for raw material to produce swords, bayonets, clamps etc by the japanese during the end part of WW2. They had less supplies by then. metal Foundries where a standard part of large Jap encampments. HH
God bless,
Jose

It's a Vulcan brand anvil, probably made in the late 1800's or early 1900's. You can still see the "N" of 'VULCAN" above the arm & hammer logo. The mfgr. was the Illinois Iron & Bolt Company of Carpentersville, IL.

Hi Joe,
I would suggest you scan the cave with at least a decent vlf or two-box detector, or even the immediate surroundings outside the cave entrance, you might just find someting more interesting.HH
God bless,
jose

Interesting find. I would defiantly search the whole area. Good luck.
Just because it did not work does not mean it was not a good plan!

Re: US ANVIL IRON INSIDE A CAVE IN PHIL???
Joe,
The US Anvil...is ONLY **** TREASURE MARKER...is not worth selling....inside the cave is worth exploring....you said there is no other items inside the cave??....of course its empty...bcoz its BARRED DOWN !!....they usally sealed the other chamber suspected to contain gold stockpile....
What else do you think of the **** motive of putting 30 PCS. HEAVY ANVILS inside the cave?? bcoz its...**** TREASURE MARKER !!! (common sense man !!)
The other cave chamber is where you should examine bcoz i believe the anvils are just treasure markers....inside other barred down chambers...maybe a few tons of gold stockpile ONLY....
Anyway...a barred down/blasted rock boulders can easily be determined by meticolous inspection...how to pass thru that barred down boulder obstacle...is another **** puzzle..

Re: US ANVIL IRON INSIDE A CAVE IN PHIL???
Only thing is...
That, it'll more than likely cost, more to ship (s&h) them/it, to the U.S. than it'll be worth!
Unless you can find an "agent" *, and "bulk" ship them all !
But! There goes more of the "profit" ?
*someone who can sort & sent them to the buyers!
I WAS! going to give an old metal detector to a guy in The P.I.s..
But!
It would have cost way! too much to ship it!
