    Possible Cache?

After doing some research on Colorados history, theres a legend that some hunters were up by a river in the continentle divide.
A really fierce snowstorm hit them and they had to much to carry and could not get out with all there stuff.
So the "legend" says they buried tons and tons of gunpowder, muskets, flintlock pistols, and my favorite, GOLD!!!
It also says that all the hunters died and could not retrieve there stuff again.

Out of the people that have read the story in magazines or online, I dont know if anyone has found it or if it even exists.

I am not entierly sure if people are aloud to MD up there. So when I figure out, my dad and I are going to do some hunting up there.

I really hope it is real and I find it! lol.

If you have any information regarding this "legend". Please share.
    Thanks!

    Re: Possible Cache?

As with most rumors or legends, the person or persons could not retrieve the treasure, lost mine, or whatever due to their demise.

Just read the stories and you will find numerous facts (supposed facts), yet the people involved died and may or may not have been found later. Yet, the story telling authors has taken certain liberties (literary license) to fill in the happenings...or else they wouldn't have a story or book to publish or sell.

Many of the stories also end with a death bed confession to the good Samaritan finding and helping them.

In my opinion, 99.99% of the stories are most likely bunk.
