    1982 New Orleans Bank Cache!

    On Oct. 29,1982, A bulldozer unearthed a cache of Silver Coins stored in wooden boxes, & hidden in the early 1840's.

    The coins were mostly Spanish-Amer. issues, but hundreds of US Coins, including 1840-O Liberty Seated Quarters

    were found. A clamber ensued, & men in suits, ladies in dresses, & others scrambled to find Treasure. The latest coin was 1842.
