    small silver coin cache

Found these earlier this year on one very rainy afternoon. Most of the coins were in a very concentrated area with a rusted out can buried nearby.Nothing rare or old but made my afternoon.About 9.00$ silver face value and another 20.00 or so in clad.MM2

    Re: small silver coin cache

Mostly silver dimes and quarters from the 1920s-1960s and a 1886-0 morgan and a 1951 half. The dollar and half were stacked together sticking out of the side of the hole. Went back later and found about another 8.00$ in silver. There were also some wartime and buffalo nickels mixed in.Nothing extraordinary compared to some of the caches on this forum but sure made me a happy camper MM2.

Now you are hooked. When I was 5-7 years old I used to dig in everyone's back yard for Pirate Treasure. Dirt lots, hill sides, even in the middle of old dirt roads. Now 50 years later I am still digging.

And it is still FUN !.
