Hey, you're doing that too? I think I've buried about 5 little caches in various places over the past 15 years. I figure some day some treasure hunter is gonna find one and have a great old time telling all his friends about it. In one of them I enclosed a short note written in permanent ink on archival-quality (no acids) heavy paper and zipped it into a plastic baggie. The note included the date, the reason, and my name and mailing address. I haven't heard from anybody yet on that cache, so I guess it hasn't been found yet. I imagine none of mine will be found for probably at least 30 years, after that I won't be around to even care!!!

Anyhow, texan, I think it's great that you are leaving caches for future treasure hunters, too.

PS I leave about $10.00 in modern clad that I dug up, and I'll usually include 2 or 3 wheat cents and/or a silver dime. I figure in 30 years or so the clad might even be exciting to dig up for somebody. And I used plastic jars.

Thats about what the first one has plus some jewlrey and jesus tracks, I figure it might be neat if somone gets a witness long after I'm dead' or reads my name out load in 100 yrs or so, My next one has a role of proof texas coins some antigue collectable salt and pepper shackers (couldent sell on ebay),misc Clad, presidential campaign stuff, Hot wheels, and some notes from my family with pictures,( lots of other toys). The 1st one was concreted over this moning so It will be there a while, I will post the next one in the near future maybe with some clues. (Oh yea I def throw some pop tops in each cache)
