I've just signed up on this site, but i have been lurking for quite a while and have read hundreds of forum posts. Fascinating stuff. I read the whole thread on that house in Massachussets and it was amazing. Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi! I'm in Central Lower Michigan on the Lake Michigan coast and I am a newbie to this endeavor and am hoping Santa Clause brings me a Detector, if he doesn't I'm gonna have to figure out how to afford one. Even though I've never embarked on this type of activity I have always been drawn to such tales on the Discovery channel and the Travel channell and PBS. I just know this is one of those things I'm gonna get deeply involved in.

Hey Pokerbear, did you get the detector from Santa? I started looking on eBay and at several detector dealers, but the boss lady said I had to sell some dive gear first. Something about no more closet space in the spare bedroom. I figured I could just keep a couple of detectors in the living room!
