The only trouble with Lord Anson is that he spent his money on a 900 acre estate, huge house etc and passed on his wealth after his death so its not as though a large amount of money went missing.
The Grail, if not a legend as most consider, would be most unlikely to come into his hands and if something that was perported to be the Grail did, he would not be shy of advertising the fact and perhaps even presenting it to the nation as he had already achieved wealth and position.
