Jesse James cache, anyone???
So everyone has heard the stories of the infamous Jesse James gang. There have been a couple caches of guns, ammo, and the like found since his death, but I've only recently begun to look into his success around the midwest, and although there's no real conclusive evidence, I'm sure there's more to be found in mid-southern Minnesota. Been looking around the Northfield area, but I'm having a great deal of difficulty finding anything, even leads on the topic. If anyone has any info at all it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Jesse James cache, anyone???
It's possible that the northfield casulaties left small caches at the last campsite before the raid. The Younger boys may also have stashed small amounts as they were nearly broke when they were captured if memory serves. I have that location in my files but have never been near enough to search. You should have no trouble finding that location from the printed accounts. exanimo, siegfried schlagrule

I am not sure where you want to look for Jesse James cache, but I know of an old cave on Highway 7 north, between Bismarck and Hot Springs, Arkansas that the gang used to hid out in. They would rob folks coming through the Ouachitas towards Hot Springs. I have never entered the cave, but it is located on the east side of the highway near a curve that is referred to as "Dead Man's Curve" because of a number of fatal automobile accidents. I should go find that cave this summer and have a look around.
