Hello, I am a newbie to MD but I have some very interesting information on several buried powder kegs of gold and silver, anyone interested in helping look I need someone with a deep seeker and time to look for a week or two this spring. I can line up permission on the land before any commitment of your time. Its a great story back to the early 1800's.

I wish I was out there to give you a hand. I just picked up the United States Treasure Atlas for my area. While there is great things listed in there I don't have your state. I would love to hear more of the story if you had the time.

Shoot me a PM, I travel over your way quite a bit and could assist in your hunt. Interested in hearing the story.

How did you find out or hear of this information?

I was reading a book about Wisconsin history and in the book was short 2 page story, since then I was able to attain some late 1930's aerial photos and locate the exact location of where this was. I have it narrowed down to about a 1/2 square mile 300 square acres!

Dude that's really cool. Shockingly I know who owns the land and my grandparents live like 10 miles away from it. The guy who owns the land is crazy he he bought all of it were it could be and never found a single thing.

Are you sure we are talking about the same area? As the Plot book shows potentially 3 different owners overlap the areas with 1 family the most likely area

I live in Wisconsin also, but on the west side of the state, I would love to detect this, but my advice to you don't tell anybody the location, even if someone things they know dot let on, next thing you know you will have a small army tearing up the place, and that just leads to more trouble , best of luck to you , god bless.

O yea, I have kept it pretty tight, the 2 others I am looking at have even higher probability of being not only legit but still there to be found! I guess that's the only thing good about winter.......research:thumbsup:

Have you had any luck recruiting some help? I have heard different versions of that story myself.
I was going to head out to that area and stay at a KOA camp for a few days hunting arrowheads.
I don't have a deep seeker but would tag along as an extra set of eyes.
