Rommel's Gold

I just read an article and some of you may have too if you subscribe to Floyd Mann's twice monthly treasure e-letter. Seems there's a guy out there ready to make a documentary in search of Rommel's gold and diamond stash dumped in the ocean off the coast of Corsica. What a fantastic find that would make! Not just because it's worth an estimated $10MIL, but also because of the history and provenance associated with WWII's "Desert Fox."

I've heard other credible leads though --- the classic book 'The Treasure Diver's Guide' says it is actually in the water off the coast of Sardinia. Another author many of us are familiar with Thomas P. Terry claims it is in fact a land cache located in some sand dunes in Douz (somewhere in North Africa).

Any other stories people out there have heard about this fabulous hoard

Rommel was one of the greatest military tacticians of all time! Even if I do not believe in the Nazis beliefs or methods.

If that doco is made I hope it makes its way to Australia (or atleast the internet). Most of your treasure related shows don't get here. And by the sounds of it this one should be interesting viewing. If for nothing else that some good stories (possible leads).
