Looking for a two-box machine...any suggestions?
I am looking at a Whites TM-808.
I need to cover a large area of ground without picking up every little target.
With a regular detector, I don't think I will live long enough to cover the area I need.
Is a two-box machine my answer? And if so...which one should I buy?
I can get a TM-808 for $550.00
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

HI try this, better and cheaper, or a used White 800 series, not an 808.,.

I purchased the Fisher Gemini 3 M scope. It only finds large targets so maybe that's what you want. I was told they found a six pack of soda cans at fifteen feet down. Give a look see @

Dustcap,
Thanks for the info on the Gemini. Our club has a Gemini 2, and I have tried to use it, but did not have any luck picking up any targets. It might be broke. I think I have decided on the Discovery TF-900. I just have to save up my nickels & dimes

Hi Joe,
I'll check with the club and see if they would like to have it repaired. When I borrowed it, I had to replace the battery case to use AA's. If I am remembering right, it use some old style 6v battery. Anyway, I got it powered up, batteries checked OK, but I could not get it to respond to targets.
Thanks for the offer, I'll let you know.

Eric & TF,
I have talked with several of the members, and they agree with you on the TF-900. If I buy a two-box...that will be the one.
Thanks for your comments.
