My Father's Hoard

My father passed away last year, and it fell to my wife and myself to clean out 80 years worth of his hoarding. My dad was a pack rat, and his house was filled to overflowing with...stuff...LOTS of stuff. Mixed in with all of the junk was a number of nice coins. I found them in envelopes, cigar boxes, and my personal favorite, a box that originally contained a set of dentures.
My father worked at a bank for 38 years, and he would often come across old coins in change, when he did, he would buy them and bring them home.

That 1826 capped bust sure is a beauty. Geez, I'd like to have a denture box filled with nice coins -- I just don't want to have to wear the dentures!!!!

So what other kinds of things did your father save? Any large currency? How about Silver Certificates? Or GOLD Certificates? Oooooh, that would be awesome!!
