Talk about a cache in plain sight! This guy has been using a rock as a doorstop for decades. Turns out it's a $100K meteorite that was originally found in the 1930's. But dig this--the current meteorite owner bought the farm in 1988. That means it sat as a doorstop for almost 90 years. So somebody's heirs are probably kicking themselves now. And I wouldn't be surprised if the feds rubbed salt in the wound by tracking down the original owners and taxed them with interest penalties for not declaring it for 50 years:

Wow, incredible! Things are really pleasant now for someone in Mt. Pleasant! I looked for a piece of the one that fell here in Michigan this past winter and struck out!
