Welcome to Tnet,
If you do find it, don't brag about it. Just tell us you found some coins or something. Big brother does watch these type of forums
Good luck and HH

I agree - as much as I'd love to hear the story and see the pictures, if you find something it's best to keep it quiet sadly.

Cousin Marty, is that you?

Re: Large stash of gold
Went to the site today. We spent about 1 hour geting there after the boat ride then the hike. There was a storm coming in so we only spent about 1 hour looking the area over then about half hour to start to clear the enterance. We got to the point where we could see the wall that was laid up to keep the other rubble we had cleared from falling in. With the storm closing in with lightning we decided to hury back so we could be of the water. A 14 foot john boat with 4 full grown men in it is not a place to be in a storm. Some body asked where this was. Lets just say its some where within 200 miles of cincinati. Not shure when we will make it back in. But within the next week I am going to meet the man that has spent 40-50 years researching this treasure. thanks alot and I wiil keep you all informed on the progress.

I'm also interested in the outcome!!
I would be excited just about the fact that there is a wall behind some boulders that you moved.

Strange..
It seems that everytime someone finds the spot they have been looking for, for yrs and yrs. Travel miles by boat , plane ,train or mule.
They get to the spot, start to dig or move rock or something until they get within feet or inches of seeing if what they are looking for is there,,,,,and.....they leave the spot because of weather, darkness , the boogie man or something.
I mean...come on.

Re: Large stash of gold
We havent went back yet. We are waiting for work schedules and the weather to be safe. The reason we did not do any more than we did before is one the weather and two we dont want anyone to see were we have been.It is a very out of the way place but a few people do hike the place every once in a while. When we go back our plan is to go in to where its at and bring it all out and rehide it near the water so one of us will stay near the gold while we go back for a larger boat. If we go in with snow on the ground someone could follow the tracks. If we go in the cave during a rain it could flood. Not to mention the creek we boat in and out. Safty is #1 all the gold in the world isnt worth my life or a buddies. Hopefully we get to go very soon. Thanks and merry christmas and happy new year...
