    I've done this in NM where my brother lives. He's found some, since he says there is nothing else to do there.

    Look east of Lake Wohlford, before you get into Valley Center. I have about 4lbs of meteorite found in that area. Planning to make the smaller ones into jewelry, but the largest piece is over 2lbs.
