Yep about a mile from colorado river in the desert. a little chunk.

Look east of Lake Wohlford, before you get into Valley Center. I have about 4lbs of meteorite found in that area. Planning to make the smaller ones into jewelry, but the largest piece is over 2lbs.

Isn't Valley Center NNW of Lake Wohlford???? Or are you talking about the east end of VC ???

Sorry for the late response pegleglooker...laptop stopped working, lost the bookmark. Due east of Lake Wohlford I have found a large number of fragments scattered over a hillside. Everything I have was simply picked up off the surface. I'm sure that with a metal detector many more could be found. Sorry, I'm in NorCal now or I'd love to go huntin' with ya.
