Hello new to the forum thought I'd say hey been reading and researching around for a few weeks trying to learn as much as I can as far as prospecting goes, my kids got me good this time with the big eyed "Dady let's try to find some gold".

Little about me
Served in the Marines where I met my wife had kids the rest is history
I'm a big time outdoorsman love to kayak fish hike abalone dive and a bunch of other outdoor activities.

Hopefully looking to find partners here that don't mind helping a newby get started and help me stay out of trouble. And to contribute my adventures to this community.

Anyway thanks reading.

Ps im sure I did wrong but I jumped in both feet and got a bunch of pans a sluice and a ton of other junk I prolly don't need. Hopefully my kids will appreciate it.

Could be worse. You could of been dragged kicking and screaming into doing something that just costs,no possibility of a gain:laughing9:.Looking for gold, theres always a possibility of a return.

First of all, Welcome. You live in California. Might as well give it a shot. You may be surprised...

Welcome from Salinas, CA. You're about 25 to 35 miles from the gold producing regions of CA. No gold on the flatlands down @ Lathrop.

I don't mind driving up the hill its perty up there.
Still trying to find some spots to go a lot of red tape and research to be done before the legwork can continue.

On a happy note my son and I took a class up in Jamestown today was very good and we got some gold
