Hi, I'm in the "other" valley south of you. I was in Simi yesterday and every time I go there via the 118, I can't help thinking about Tiburcio Vasquez and all the loot he buried in his heyday. If we can coordinate an occasional day on the weekend to MD, I'm in, though I'm still a novice with my MXT. Let me know. I may also visit the Gold Coast Treasure Club sometime in the future. (Thanks for the invite Jerry)

I was up on Rocky Peak a month or so ago and found some coin. Modern coin but coin none the less. I think Rocky Peak may give up something more in the future.

tapoutking, have you ever explored the old stage coach roads or their vicinities? I'd like to sometime, but I've also heard that some of those surroundings are tained with aerospace waste.

    Re: Anyone in Simi Valley

YA, I've walked the stagecoach route from the Simi side near the train tunnel to where the old casino is. I haven;t explored the top and valley side yet. Someone here told me that there is an old militry lookout point somewhere on the valley side that may be worth a look. I think the devils slide area is a promising spot though.

It sounds as if there might a few relics and/or old coins to be found. Is the area protected from MDing since it has historic value? Also, how does one find the start of the stage coach road? Thanks for any info.

    Re: Anyone in Simi Valley

I don;t think its protected from MDing. You can find the begining of the trail at the train tunnel on the Simi Valley side. Its hard to miss.
