    Ghost Towns

Just came across this link and thought I'd share. (Figures, found it now that the snow is on the ground... doh! )

    http://www.ghosttowns.com/

Very informative with pics and maps etc!

    Good luck fellow Canucks!

    Hey Trout, how's it goin'?

I came across that site a while ago but when I came and read what they said about my local ghost town (Quesnel Forks) the info was sparse and inaccurate. It is user submitted info though, so I shouldn't complain.

P.S.: No digging at Quesnel Forks!

Ahh well, so take the info with a grain of salt eh? Good to know. At least the map feature shows where the town used to be (if that's accurate!) and then one can go out and investigate for ones self.

LOL, your super secret special hidey hole is safe with me buddy!

It's cool. I'm one of the few people allowed to dig there (of course all the stuff we find goes to the local museum).

We're going to do a dig in the cemetery there come springtime. Relax everyone, it's in the 'modern' section, there's an old foundation from a long gone log house in the way of future expansion.

No metal detecting, just a shovel and a sifter. I can hardly wait!
