Louis XIV (5 September 1638 – 1 September 1715), known as the Sun King (French: le Roi-Soleil), was King of France and of Navarre. His reign, from 1643 to his death in 1715, began at the age of four and lasted seventy-two years, three months, and eighteen days. As such, it is one of the longest documented reigns of any European monarch. He ruled as 'absolute monarch'. His reign over his court and the people was supreme. One of his lasting legacies is the Palace of Versailles. To the French it is known as the Chateaus of Versailles. A spectacular architectural masterpiece exemplifying the height of French Royalty and grandeur of an age long gone. And yet...beginning for just a single penny...one may have a chance to literally hold in ones hand...a genuine artifact of this historic period of time. Yes...from France...across the Atlantic ocean...from the reign of Louis the XIV....perhaps...even possessed by himself or one of his Royal family....
bidding starts at One Penny...can and will end at any time....
(No, it is not a piece of the Palace of Versailles)
(It is, however, from the year 1702)
