The original color ralley green 68 camaro numbers matching 275 hp 4 speed Saginaw 12 bolt drag pack Is mine. I love it.
The original engine 1956 Bel Air 265 v8 is offered to me on a straight across trade. I also love this car a real beaut. They are both in the same $$ range but I am unsure of the trends of the 2 cars. Which is going up down straight. I am torn here and just want any car opinions here.

Help?

I cant advise you really and this does not help....but watch this anyway. Close as I could get to "tale of the tape" between these two.

Keep your Camaro. My reasoning is it will go up in value if you look at what the car market is doing right now they are rehashing 60s and 70s cars because they are what everyone wants, the older Bel air is awesome but not everyones taste. where as the Camaro hits a lot of peoples idea of a hotrod.I could be biased as I own a 68 Chevy stepside so you see the years I prefer.

Thanks Back I am thinking I agree with you. The 56 is awesome but the Camaro is so perfect. I would just buy the 56 but I have the hammer on me by my wife. Replace but no add. Cr@p

personal taste plus these three questions will give you a starting point.

1) Do you prefer a Sunday driver or do you want to go vrooooom!
2) what style do you like more?
3) Finally the magic question. If you could only have one car, (between the two you listed), to drive the rest of your life which one would you REAAALY want?

Why not work out a deal where you could swap them back and forth every 3 months?
Spring+Fall/Summer+Winter. Or could that be harder to figure out?

You guys are so right! I am keeping the Camaro. Maybe I can talk my wife into the Bel Air. (I think she is secretly in love with it)

Thanks for letting me discuss an off topic. THis site has some of the most knowledgable and reasonable persons I have ever met. I knew I would get the right answer here. THe Camaro is the right choice. THanks Guys

I would sell the camaro buy a 6cyl for the 914 in the back of you photo, and have a car that will out perform that camaro. You do not see alot of them around. the wife has one bought in 75 1.8 34 miles per gal.
