These are my most favorite type of automobile. They were the luxury cars of the late 'twenties and early 'thirties and they were known as "The Olympians". The Packards, Cadillacs, Duesenbergs, Stutzes, Pierce-Arrows, Auburns, Marmons. A few foreign makes played too like Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, and Hispano-Suiza When you ordered one of these cars from the dealer you could pick from factory body styles, or you were just getting the chassis, drivetrain, and the bodywork from the radiator to the cowling/instrument panel. The rest of the body was custom-built by companies like Fisher, Rollston, Murphy, Brewster, and LeBaron to name a few. You can zoom-zoom in your Vectors, Ferraris, McClarens, and Saleen's......Just one of these cars had more class than all of that modern "luxury/exotic" crap put together. V-12's are nothing new....Lincoln and Packard were running them, not to mention the V-16's that Marmon and Cadillac had. Anyway here's a dozen of them for you all to check out.

Those are some truly beautiful cars, I was drooling all over my computer while looking at them. My car is nothing compared to them, it's a work in progress, but it is a daily driver, I take it to town regularly. When I go to town it is a 130 mile round trip. I can run the interstates at 75 mph all day long, and wouldn't think twice about going coast to coast with it.

Hey, what is that car there? I want to say it's a DeSoto but I'm not sure.....definitely a Chrysler Product. We used to run those old Flat Six Chrysler motors in some of our tow tractors that we pulled aircraft around with when I was in the Marines.....they ran forever as long as you kept oil in them.

My favorite car is Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class. This car has fulfilled all that I could have expected from a luxurious car. It has an excellent sport appeal. The aluminium skid resistance that this car provides is really amazing. even when I was a first timer, I did not get face any sort of trouble while riding this car. Although, one could face a dilemma while purchasing this ride since no nearby service outlets are available. Have a look on its images

Those pictured were not just cars, they were truly "automobiles". Beautiful. As far as anything I have owned, still miss the 77 Toyota Landcruiser.
