No idea. I do know that the Mayan would adorn the outside of pots with effigy items and they often times came off. I have a face that was attached to a pot.

The object in question is ceramic "foot" off of a tri-legged pot. It should rattle. Shape appears to be a dogs head. Style is similar to post classic.

Thank you. It is hollow though and also has a perfect round hole which made me think if a pipe bowl. Cheers.
