My siblings and I have inherited 9 (I think) Mayan statues. They are in the possession of an attorney who needs a licensed artifact appraiser
to provide valuation. These are real, They were brought here approx 1968 as gifts to my Dad from foreign dignitaries . (He was a big time explorer, miner, and geologist)
So......do you guys know some names, and numbers of legitimate, licensed, appraisers. Homeland Security attempted to seize them unsuccessfully. An attorney representing my siblings stopped them. We didn't want to sell them to outsiders, but without a rapid appraisal
a small auction auction may be forced.

Please reply if you know specific Names/numbers. THANKS

Starting here seems logical too me.

Museum Conservation Institute Artifact Appraisals

List looks dated but I'd imagine the more reputable ones are still around.

Should have looked at date of posting. I'd imagine you already have taken care of the issue. Guess for future similar questionsituation it still be of some help.
