now for some actual civil war info, some that might actually lead to a site or two dozen containing at the least relics, and possibly $ more, one might read the below diary

A Confederate Diary

Ah well I was Googling "Sterling Price's treasure" and came here - hate to tell ya, but I was present when a huge amount of it was dug up. Well, at least the giant safes and stuff he had taken out of KC area.... and they were all empty. I'd like to relate some grandiose story about how my great genius and fantastic equipment located it, but it was dumb luck I was at the right place at the right time, and someone else had found it, also by sheer luck, they weren't looking and had no idea such would be there. Was 1988 I think... maybe 89, June or July. All the safes had been blown open, and there wasn't a scrap of tin or even junk about. They had giant holes in the bottom (or top, etc). They appear to have been buried and someone came back for them and reburied them. They were fairly deep.
