    civil war armoured breast-plate 1644

    found this just 100yrds down stream from the the bridge, as the first battle was fought on/nr this bridge, and the last battle was fought on this bridge in 1651, a sword from the battle was recovered previously,now in a private collection, the musuem does not know where its owner is, but now have the brest-plate riddled with musket shot (poor bloke)

    That's interesting because it just looks like a hunk of steel with a bunch of rustholes in it! How did you know this?

    It has been shot but not sure of a breast plate. Have dug and seen many items shot up. To far gone for a positive ID I think. Good luck.
