Is This a civil war bullet ?

I found what I thought is a civil war bullet ? while out coin hunting today....In read as an Indian Head cent @6"-7",but was actually about 8"..which I thought was odd cause the area I hunted was only used localy for the last 70 or so years ..But it is in an older part of my 1860's city...Any help apreciated

Looks like a modern, but what is the history of the area , is it an area that was fought over in the civil war times?
