    unknown gun part, button

    Hi again,
Just have a couple of questions about two items I dug today. One is part of a gun receiver--I'm thinking it might be part of a Spencer carbine, but not sure. The second is a button with the state seal and "North Carolina" on the front and "Goldsboro Rifles" as a backmark. I do know a little about this button, but am not sure of value. Any help on one or both questions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jack.

Sorry--I'm having trouble getting the pics to fit! I'll have to work on this and try again later--SORRY!!!
