Jackpot!!!!
Man I wish I could have dug these. My wifes uncle found these in a shoebox in the attic. His father dug these in Kinston N. C. a long time ago. Theres no question for me that they are real. What should I do and how do I authenticate them? These are just a few of the relics. I have a lot more

Re: Jackpot!!!!
Find a well known dealer in your area to talk to but don't suggest they're for sale, even if they are.
That's a good pile of $$$ right there.

Agreed: that is some serious cash!
The go-to guy on Confederate plates is Steve Mullinax. He literally wrote the book.

Something I don't know enough about so would have to leave it at thousands (say many many thousands). The entire collection I'm sure must be worth a small fortune.

Re: Jackpot!!!!
Once authenticated you may want to consider an auction house ..they would get you the best price, of course you would have to pay a fee for the auction but I'm sure a reputable auction house would authenticate them for you at no cost if you let them auction the items off for ya...good luck

Re: Jackpot!!!!
If those are the real deal, you deserve many banners.
That NC two piece buckle alone is worth at least $6000 or more. I have just the NC tongue portion and it appraised at over $4000.
Looking forward to hearing the outcome of these.
Congrats & keep us posted,

Re: Jackpot!!!!
i enlarged the cs oval, and would be interested in seeing the back, the "c" and the serif on the "s" is questionable, mullinax's expanded version doesn't show anything close to this plate, and kerksis's plate book doesnt show an oval in any type with a double rope border,,,,,

HOLY CRAP!!! MOTHER OF GOD!!!!
If these are real you have hit the jackpot of all jackpots. Put them in a safe deposit box NOW. NOW. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200 dollars.
You are well into 6 figures. Way into 6 figures.
HOLY CRAP. MOTHER OF GOD!! Did I say that already. I gotta lay down.
