Hello folks. While arrowhead hunting at my favorite site, I discovered this glass piece. You should know that the area where this was found, in addition to thousands of years of Indian Activity, saw Civil War action as well. It was a field artillery site. Now... this glass appears to be bottle glass that has been heated and shaped. It looks a lot like a Large Mouth Bass to me and it was found on the river's edge during low tide. Do any of you know if the CW soldiers were known for this type of "time killing" artwork? Maybe it was done by the later (post 16oos) Indians... or... maybe it's just nothing. In any case... thanks for looking.

I think it's a piece of a broken bottle.

Might be. Strange how when the bottle "broke" the glass bent in two opposite directions. Maybe it broke while in a hot fire and bent into this shape, then ended up at a CW battery sight. It could happen :laughing7:
