    Button I.D.

hello eveyone, I'm a newbie to detecting and need some help with a find. If the pics are viewable I'm confused on the research I've done already. The back mark indicates 1861-1865 date, but the front indicates post-1902. So if anyone can help it would be appreciated. image The back mark reads: SCOVILL MF'G CO. * WATERBURY

If no pics showed let me know

    Thanks
    Doug

It's called a Great Seal button. US Army went from using eagle buttons to the seal button sometime prior to WWI. Can't remember the exact date.
