Appropriation of Confederate Funds!

#1) After Pres. Jeff Davis was captured near Irwinsville, Ga. on june 10, 1865, Union Troops discovered the remains of the Conf. treasury which they divided up then carried on w/ the largest stakes poker Game of the War.

#2) After winning the last battle of the war, Conf. B.Gen. James E. Slaughter withdrew his forces across the Rio Grande & sold his Artillery to the Imperial Mexican Maj. Gen. Tomas Meija for $20K in gold!

#3) After learning the war was over, some 500 Conf. Troops in San Antonio confiscated $80K in Conf. Gov't Silver & divided it amongst themselves!
