    Camp lead?

I've read several posts where guys talk about finding CW "camp lead". Can someone describe to me what this stuff might look like?

I hunted (briefly) a CW site a few weeks ago and came up empty on relics (heavily re-landscaped area). But I did find a small bit of lead about the size of a dime. Flat, smooth, and round on one edge. Straight, as if broken off something, on the opposite edge. Could this be "camp lead"? Not sure that this was a camp area, but it was a battlefield (Ox Hill/Chantilly).

    Thanks,

Sure sounds like it, post a photo. Smoetimes this lead looks like it has been melted, it just depends.

camp lead is usually overflow from when they molded bullets around a fire. When it hardens you get a blob of lead. Usually find a lot of it in a campsite, more than anything else really.
