what are these indents from?

Hi all! I've been hunting a civil war skirmish spot for a while now and I noticed that some of the lead balls have three little indentations on them. Maybe a type of ramrod or they went in an artillery piece? Thanks in advance, and HH.

Those are from the buckshot in a buck and ball load

1 69 cal round ball and 3 buckshot fired from a smooth bore musket
