Greetings,

I am a new member to the forum and I need some expert help identifying some old military buttons I found. I am also a beginner at military button collecting and would like someone to help ID some of the buttons I have collected.

The first photo is what I believe is US Marine Corps button, marked Scovill MFG Co. Waterbury. Does anyone have an idea of the age of this button and its value? The second button I have no clue as to what it is or how old it may be?? Any help identifying or opinions concerning these buttons would be greatly appreciated.

First one is a Maryland state seal. Second is a Marine. The backmark on the Marine button dates it no earlier than 1870 and as late as 1962. I think the Md. button is from the 1870s to the early 1900s.
