This gun tool was found on a 1860’s-1870’s site and I have
not been able to find out what gun the tool was made for.
Any information would be much appreciated.

Looks like a US model 1842 musket wrench that the screwdriver blase has been altered on.

West edge of the U.S.
Detector(s) used
WW2 mine detector, D-Tex Standard, D-Tex Deluxe, A.H. Pro Discriminator, various Whites, Fisher 1265-X, Fisher 1270, Fisher F75, Fisher Gold Bug,Tesoro Sand Shark. And maybe others that I forgot?
One end of the tool has a nipple wrench and a blade at the opposite end. I have a thought on the modified part. I once had U.S. M1863 rifle musket that had a rear sight base that was secured to the barrel by a screw that has two holes in it, rather then a conventional slot. Could it be that a soldier that carried your gun tool had a rifle musket that had a rear sight that frequently came loose and he modified that one wing of his gun tool to have two points so that he could tighten the rear sight base? I know that mine also had a problem with the rear sight base coming loose. Just a thought.
