OK, We got out on Sunday to our Union camp site and found some more great stuff and even more “what is it” finds than normal. But this thread is about a single bullet that my wife found. It is a solid base .44 cal pistol bullet. It looks just like all of the others that we have found like it until we cleaned it up at home. On the base there is the letter C or G. It is slightly raised and black where the rest of the bullet has the white patina. It looks “factory” but could have been carved but the carver would have had to be very good. Has anyone seen anything like it? I can find no reference to anything like it.
