    found a differant looking miniball......

    its a three ringer at the base ,but also has a ring at the top.
    also its shorter than the standard 3 ringer.

    any ideas

    I would guess a galagher carbine bullet. It was a bullet with a brass case and the ring at the top is where the case was crimped onto the bullet. That is a neat find...d2

    I found it about 1/8 of a mile in front of kennesaw mt. battlefield park.

    If it is fired, that ring on the top might have been caused by the ram rod if their gun barrels were dirty...
