I found a stack of 1800 era /Civil War publications filled with hundreds of first hand military accounts, stories, drawings, poems, slavery, advertisements etc. including Southern Bivouac with Gen Lee and Grant on front; also, New Eclectic, plus more. They are a great source of information! On top of the New Eclectic, 1869, is signature: "W.A. Goodman" which I believe was a Confederate Army Captain or soldier in the Civil war. These publications were found together so most likely they belonged to the Captain. I'm posting a few photos. Check out the top of the Eclectic Mag on the far right top for signature. I'm not into this sort of thing and I have way too much, so I'll probably be ebaying everything. In the meantime, enjoy!

Those must make for great reading! FYI, that's Gen. Thomas Jonathan Jackson on the front cover, not Gen. Grant. Geologyjohn
