Please post a picture of the bottom and include something to give us an idea of its size. Precise measurements would be very nice.

Here are the other two items I found in this same area. I'm just starting out in relic hunting so I really appreciate the help here in learning about these things.

The large lead object is a fired bullet of course. Could be CW period, or could be modern. Really hard to tell. Small musket ball could be pistol, or .36 cal Kentucky (or Penns) rifle. The first item is a crossman pellet out of a modern pellet gun.

I'm losing it. lol

Nice Finds none the less , Pellet = Yes IMO
Fired Bullet= as Parsonwalker stated , Could Be CW
The Buck Ball is nice Could be CW Period, ( Always hard to tell , on those Small Round Balls).
Esp, when smaller than ,say .36 Cal.
Also this thread shows , Patina is not a "Sure" indicator of Age.

might be the holder teat off a cartridge cap box ( if its not made of lead like a pellet gun bullet is) ..they often had a leather strap with a slit in it that slipped over the teat to hold them shut...I found a tiny lil one once stamped csa ..drove me nuts till I figgered it out --finally saw it while looking at csa cartridge boxes online...
