I found this spur in the remains of an old structure out back of a ancient tavern (now house) along a well traveled road here along the outskirts of Frederick, MD. The only marking I see evident is a small stamped "I" on the inside of the spur. I assume this is CW / military vintage. Does anyone know if this marking has any significance?

I did find a sword belt keeper near the tavern as well but no plate :BangHead:

Looks Nice.
Is it a Regular Issue US Type Spur?

The "I" may be a QC inspectors mark ???
or
Maybe a random mark ??
or
Somebody Personalized It, with just an 'I'.
Hmmmmm.
