Sword Belt Plate .....No Wreath

i found this sword belt plate a while back in a very unexpected place....no activity within 30 miles....anyway the question i have is did they ever make a plate that did NOT have the wreath at the bottom....the area at the bottom of mine looks to be too small for a wreath to fit and also the one i have seen that the wreath fell off you can still see where it was....this one doesnt have any type of residue or outlines or anything....a friend of mine looked through and entire buckle book and it didnt show it anywhere....any help would be awesome...thank you in advance

the plate itself is 3''x 2'' not counting the belt holder also has a number stamped into the hook...looks like 121

look in the civil war artifacts book by howard r crouch on page 191 #4 it says that it is a commonly found pattern and slighty smaller and lighter than most
