    CW buttons

Can someone recomend a good reference book on Civil War, calvary and other types of old buttons with information, photos and possibly values of all the different kinds.
I have found several over the past few years here in AZ and have just now become interested in knowing more about them since my last visit to Charleston, SC.

    Thanks in advance.......

Record of American Uniform and Historical Uniform Buttons by Alphaeus H. Albert

Do NOT use for values, however.

Some good pricing information can be found in the North South Trader's Civil War Collector's Price Guide.

For the most current valuations (although not all buttons will be listed), I recommend this dealer's price lists: Bob Edmondson, P.O. Box 2, Tallulah Falls, GA 30573.

    Forgotten but not gone.
