20 years ago me and my dad were hunting together, he found all of these next to each other, he's lucky.

Very nice! I've gotten a few confederate buttons and lots of lead but the buckles seem to elude me.

Nice finds. I am in a huge flood area and the stuff is there but very deep.

GSX, that is indeed A Very Good Memory. A Georgia State Seal Plate and buttons would be a Monumental Find for any relic hunter for sure. Not only for the finds, but it was time well spent with your Dad. This is a memory you'll have always. Good post and Thanks for sharing.

No I have no had the opportunity to use one. My city had many Civil war forts during the occupation but they put 3 feet of top soil and rebuilt. Some of the old buildings remaining the basement was originally the first floor. I stick to water and high ground and construction areas.I actually live on a battlefield and have dug much here but none as nice as what I see you guys getting. Someday......... right?
