Nice find Joe. You are right, the piece that looks like a cork screw I have always heard it referred to as a bullet worm. I have seen a few of these that had been found with the worm still twisted into the lead bullet. Pic's, I mean.

Very Cool.
I don't recall seeing a Double Ended one , I have found 2 different ones 1 was 'Said' to be for an Enfield & looks like Joe's & one is a bit shorter (likely Broken).
Again I love anything Civil War & Brass.
I never have found a 'Cork Screw Piece tho , I do have some possible lumps of rust tho ' lol.
