Would like a bullet confirmation and a "what is it".

Hello all.

Found these yesterday near a CW battle site. Is the bullet on the right a Gardner? The length is around 1.06" and approximately .5" in diameter. Weight is 463.9 grains.

The Enfield and Gardner were in the same hole as the iron piece on the left. I was curious if it was just a random piece of farm trash or if it was CW related. Here is another angle on that item. It has a slight curve to it.

The Enfield has a wood plug. I had to research to find out about those. Pretty cool it's still there.

Also found the buckle which I assume is just some horse tack.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Those are nice!!! Being West of the MS I've never found a Gardner, though some are found here, and I've never found a bullet with a plug in it. GREAT, finds!!! d2

Thanks for that 'Iron ' ID , I know I have a few of those pieces laying around.
& Bladerunner , I concur your 58 Gardner they are scarce here in N Atlanta as well , The Enfield W/ Plug is sweet , I like the other 3 ringer as well.

Nice Digs

Nice finds BladeRunner!! Congrats!!!

Those rounds have the profile of rounds I find around here.

Was the Enfield dug in a wet area? I ask because, the only 4 I have dug with the boxwood plugs intact, were found in a pond. Those 4 all had pristine cavities with no oxidation and marked "57".

Thanks Yak! These 3 bullets were found in an area that is somewhat elevated so I don't think it would have been super wet.
