    GAR Veterans Medal

    I found this two piece GAR veteran medal in separate locations. There would have been a ribbon that connected the two pieces.
    Someone once told me that the serial number on the bottom piece could be traced back to the individual who owned it.
    Does anyone know where that information might be located? The serial number is B38815. Any information would be helpful.
