Hi all!

I got out today to an area where there was a skirmish. The Union soldiers were there to blow up a bridge, which they did. I found my first complete CW button. A Union Eagle I cuff button. It's small, but in pretty good shape.

I also found some sort of iron buckle. I'm hoping it's CW related. Any information about it would be appreciated.

Among my other finds are what I believe are CW friction primers. I had found more of these the last time I was there, but I think I threw them away. :BangHead: I thought I had found a piece of the old RR track, but after looking at some pics online, I think this is too small. It may just be some random iron.

Thanks for looking. Any help with the buckle would be appreciated.

Very nice 'I' cuff.

IMO your buckle is an "Equipment " buckle & could be used on many things , I have seen the 'Roller' type in & on some Civil War pieces , so YNK?.

I also think the RR Track used back then was a smaller gauge or type , I think that I have a piece of track but it looks like 'Bannister handle' for lack of a better description.

I love the friction Primers (never dug one ) ; I think you learned your lesson about throwing unknown things away.
Good Day & Luck.

Thanks! After looking at pictures of RR track onliine, I realized this piece wasn't track.

Yea, I kept those primers for a while on my work bench, but never got around to researching them. Live and learn!

Like Davers, said it's a "roller" style equipment buckle. Many were used on backpacks, etc.
