Is this a Civil War Scabard Tip?

I hope it is OK to crosspost this. I found a scabbard tip yesterday (my first) that I'd love to be able to positively identify. I am crossposting here from the What Is It forum because I suspect this may be Civil War and I don't know how many of you guys check that forum. Thanks for any help you can give me.
